"I am a glass artist working primarily in handblown vessel forms. I am inspired by Impressionist paintings, textile patterns, and underwater and extraterrestrial vistas. I aim to create sensations of motion, stillness, action, and serenity in my pieces. Designs are created with vibrantly colored glass canes lampworked into various shapes, murrini, crushed glass, and glass shards. These designs are then picked up on a hot glass bubble and incorporated into the finished glass piece. It is important to me to achieve a synthesis of form and decoration in each vessel."
