Throughout my life I have always felt a special connection to nature, and being outdoors inspires me to create. The amazing scenery in Colorado has certainly fueled this inspiration, and the surrounding landscapes appear frequently in my work. In addition to drawing the things I see around me, I also like to draw the things I come up with on my own. To imagine is the most fun.

Lately I have been developing a style of artwork that combines pencils, pens, and digital design. I will start out with a pencil sketch, trace it with black pens, and then color using mainly Sharpie and Prismacolor markers. I then scan my drawings into Photoshop and re-brush some of the sections, add some shading, and adjust the colors until they pop as much as possible. I then enlarge the images and print them digitally on fine-art canvas. The resulting media is a hybrid pen-drawing / digital-canvas, which ends up looking like a giant piece of candy stuck to the wall.
