StartUps Need Form as Well as Function

With Boulder StartUp Week taking place in Boulder this week, we wanted to showcase some of our favorite technie gifts. Form and function mingle in some of these beautiful handcrafted pieces, and some are just for fun!

First up is local artist Carol Baum (online purchase details here), who makes clocks from old computer parts:

Next we have a stylus or stylus/pen combo made from actual circuit boards! Details on these Hesscraft originals can be found here.

These intricately carved Coasters Cubes are a conversation piece for any desk or coffee table. They break down into 4 or 8 coasters and can also be used as a trivet. Find out more here!

On the whimsical side, we have these fabric, art and jewelry pieces that have an appeal we thought would appeal to both the left and right brained side of things:

Prints by Boulder painter Raina Gentry

Jewelry by local Susan Lovato and Elaine B – pendants, earrings and more!

And a variety of purses/handbags with sizes to suit any occasion, hand cut and sewn in Boulder, Colorado by Maruca.

We’d love to have Boulder Startup Week participants stop by to have an ‘art break’ from their busy days of sessions and social! Our stellar staff can help you pick out something for your office, home, or for that someone special!
