Bob Jorgensen and Debbie Kneale combine their studio, home and gardens in Arvada, Colorado. Bob has been woodworking full time since 1971 after receiving his MFA in Furniture Design from the School for American Craftsmen at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Debbie apprenticed to Bob in 1976; in 1981 they married and combined their individual woodworking businesses. Since 1985, their focus has been producing office, home and kitchen accessories, and boxes in limited series. Debbie's designs are the laminated pieces; Bob's are the more sculptural pieces. Collaboration is evident in pieces like the oil lamps. |

Del adapts traditional woodworking techniques in the use of steam bent wood."Bent wood is the unifying element in my fuctional sculptures. I bend steamed wood around jigs and fixtures I design and build. I must have a clear mental picture before beginning. Working with curves and twists creates unique problems. I have adapted traditional woodworking techniques to overcome these challenges. |
